Rclone Plex stuttering

Just started using Rclone with Plex and google drive. I'm on a 100mbit connection and movies play very well if just played from the start. When I fast forward however, it stutters a lot. This happens only when I play really high bitrate movies (> 30 mbit) though. I've tried changing buffer size but it doesn't seem to make any difference. When I play these type of files locally it never stutters.

I don't use gcache or encryption.

Rclone mount settings:

--vfs-read-chunk-size-limit off
--buffer-size 512M
--tpslimit 10
--tpslimit-burst 10

It stutters while you are fast forwarding, or stutters after you've finished fast forwarding?

If the latter then it is probably filling up the buffer and I'd expect it to fix itself in a while.

It's after I've fast forwarded. I thought so too but after 20 minutes it was still stuttering frequently. I have however resolved it by switching to using Netdrive3 instead
