RClone Mount - Only delete if not in use

Will have a look tomorrow, see when files close during playback.

Will be interested to see if there's a difference between transcoding, direct play, and different transcode buffer settings.

Thanks for your help, appreciated as always

Direct Play - That should keep the file open the whole time.

Direct Stream/Transcode - I would assume/guess and agree with you as it probably closes it out at some point if the throttle is hit.

Just gave it a shot. (On my phone so don't have logs)

I set the transcode throttle buffer in Plex to 3 hours, so it won't ever throttle the transcoder.

I started playback of a transcoded file on Server 2 and then deleted the file on Server 1.

Within a few seconds, even with transcoding still occuring (transcoding hadn't throttled), playback stopped on Server 2 with a transcode error in Plex.

From what I can tell, transcoding a file in Plex doesn't keep the file open. So Rclone will delete the file on the mount and kill any current transcoded playback.

Direct playing a file seems to keep the file open. Which is one positive.
