RClone deleting file after upload?

Just noticed all the files I’ve been sending for the past few days no longer exist in my Gsuite drive.

Watched a test upload I did and saw the log state it “deleted” the file after upload completion?
Am I reading this correctly?
And if yes, wtf mate?

I think someone else reports this too

Curious what your command looks like?

Check your drive for duplicates that might be the problem

Use

rclone dedupe remote:

Where the remote is the same as the one you used in the crypt config.

Hello @Michael_Janczyn and @ncw,

Michael, this is exactly what I’m seeing here (with the only difference being that, as I’m specifying --backup-dir, my files are moved to that backup dir instead of simply deleted as your case).

@ncw, on the entire unencrypted remote? Wouldn’t it fix the issue at hand if I run it just at the equivalent (ie, encrypted names in the unencrypted remote) directories where I’m having removed files?

I ask because my entire remote is really large (at last count, ~15M files), and (if this command transverses the entire tree as I think it does) it will likely take quite a few days to run.

Cheers,
– Durval.

Ran the dedupe command recommended above, did not find any duplicates nor report errors.
Ran: rclone dedupe --dry-run google:mynamehere

I only recently set up Drive after ACD and haven’t moved any of my old files into it.
Began testing with just a few new uploads.
So there shouldn’t be anything to dedupe.
There were only 5-10 files total.
