Preserving Google Docs format when copying to a different Drive

I am trying to copy some folders and files from a Google Shared Drive to a private drive. I am doing it using the Web GUI.

I created a config for my private drive which has "shared with me access" to the Shared Drive, and I started copying ok. But then I realized Google Docs, Sheets and Slides were being converted to docx, xlsx and pptx.

How can I make it so that files are kept in the original Google format? I thought maybe I had to do it from the account that has direct (not "shared with me") access to the shared drive, but I can't create a config to the shared drive, I only see the normal drive for that account.

rclone version 1.69.3

Thanks, this is my first time using rclone, so I am not sure where I should use that. I am using the GUI.

Also, does it matter if I do it from the original account with access to the shared drive o using through the "shared with me" account?

sorry, i have never used the gui.
it is experimental, has bugs, and has not been updated in many years.

i do not know. have to test that for yourself unless someone else has a solution.
