Do you have something odd going on with directory mappings and unpacking? Things seems to be going on with that UNPACK location which still means Sab is unpacking it I'd imagine.
I'm not sure why you'd use SAB on rclone as that's all temporary storage and just point that to a normal 'disk' as it's all being written anyway and removed so you are making things slower by doing it on rclone as that's another layer on drop slowing things down.
I don't use SAB as I use NZBGet as I'm not familiar enough with SAB to offer much else.
I'd separate the SAB data from rclone and ensure my Sonarr is pointing to the completed location once SAB is all the way done.
This is where Sab unpacks to. Either with direct-unpack, which I have enabled so it unpacks while downloading, or without direct unpack so it unpacks after downloading has finished. In either case this issue persists. I've looked around, and it seems like Sonarr/Radarr shouldn't be looking at files in the unpack folders, since Sab does not report the download as completed until it's done unpacking and has placed the file in the non-unpack complete folder. It doesn't seem like this is actually the case on the log. I'll attempt to disable "Folder rename" in Sab, which disables this functionality with the unpack folders, but then I suspect Sonarr will still just do the same thing in the non-unpack complete folder.
As mentioned, this is so that I never have to cross filesystem boundaries, so files can be moved instantly. If I point Sab to an incomplete and complete folder outside the mount, Sonarr has to copy files into the mount which is a lot slower. I'm not seeing any measurable difference in download and unpack speed having them on the mount. As you know, this whole thing works flawlessly with rclone 1.54.1. so while I'm sure the changes made to the VFS after this version are inherently good, they did also introduce some sort of incompatibility with this setup and I'm hoping we can figure out what that is.
Well, for some reason, turning off "Folder rename" in Sab worked. I have no idea what goes on at a lower level to make this functionality grind up the VFS cache, but the fact of the matter is that it did.

Hmm. I realize that the new vfs changes were well after so there might be something in there.
@ncw or @Ole - I think this is the spot where something goes wrong as it has to be be when the end file is renamed in the cache as it errors out after that and I wonder if it has to do with the special characters maybe?

Agree, it could be something related to the folder rename, but this could have many causes such as renaming a folder while a file in the folder is open, a timing issue (race condition), special characters,...
I would start by simplifying to rule out as many possible causes as possible and then repeat with full debug logging.
For example: First try with very simple folder/file names, next try to slow down the script (Sab?) to see if the vfs stumbles over its own feet, next try to simplify the process as much as possible while still seeing the error, then try without crypt, then try mounting a local folder,... In the end it will hopefully be a very simple scenario, that can be repeated without Sab, Radarr, Plex, ..
Nick may be able to spot the cause with less reduction and info, I don't know.
The VFS is very complicated alas, and renames of open files or just uploaded files are particularly complicated, so there may well be a bug here.
To investigate further I really need a reproducer I can run, preferably something like a bash or a powershell script but failing that a series of commands I can run at the command line.
