Mount GSuite for Plex running @VPS Server

Hello,

having an VPS Server runs CentOS 7 64-bit with PlexmediaServer and rclone v1.35

My code to mount my GSuite Drive is:
nohup rclone mount -v --allow-non-empty --allow-other --read-only GSuiteCrypt: /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Media/ &

Now i can see the mounted files in /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Media/ to add it to my Plexmediaserver…

But i can Play any file… looks like Plex can´t access the files… no Audio or resolution information for Plex…

What can i do?

Regards
Massaguana

Can you try to copy from mounted drive just to check if your account got locked.
Google will allow you to see all files but not access/copy them when account is locked.

No download possible… i think the account is locked…

I have Check this with this steps:

  • Login to my GSuite Account with Chrome Browser
  • test to Download an file…
  • Error Message no download traffic…

What can i do to unlock it? Wood be an personal “client id” helps?

It looks like you’ve been banned for 24 hours, there is nothing you can do but wait. Normally you should be able to download and have access to files in less than a day, my first ban last for about 15 hours.

now, more than 24 ago… the bann are still there…

I hope you stopped all scripts and Plex auto lib updates as you could be unbanned and single Plex Lib scan would get you banned again.

i have unmount the drive… Is that enough? And the Plex Server have no auto script running, all manual…

yup that should be more then enough.

okay, now it works… the movie are playing in Plex…

But, what can i do to prevent an new ban?

hmm, just an scan for new files in my library and nothing works…

No Playback possible, but downloads are running… looks like no ban…

find this i log: error googleapi: Error 403: Rate Limit Exceeded

Is this an other ban?

No rate limiting errors are quite “standard” for cloud providers
The easiest test is to try to copy one of larger files if you get Forbidden message your account is locked.

okay, my account is locked again… :rage:

Is it possible to break rclone to prevent this?

First indentify what is locking your account eg did you disable all Library Updates in Plex ? are you using for rclone copy/move no-traverse so it does not scan all destination etc…

I would strongly suggest you use Amazon drive with plex setup as you wont have any of those problems. The free trial is for 90 days and you can always cancel it if you are not satisfied. Rclone + Gdrive implementation for Plex is just no viable until rclone does not have a local database of folder/file structure on cloud and even then only differences should be updated to prevent account bans.

Yes, i have disabled all automatic scan´s ore other actions with library… i do all Manual. Today i don only an “Libary Update” nothing more…

i use rclone sync to upload files to my GSuite, this works fine… runs all the time from my Home Server…

rclone -v sync /Volumes/x264 “GSuiteCrypt:Plex Cloud Crypted/x264”

I have testet Amazon Drive 3 month… many connection problems with rclone. many restart the upload… i have made 1000 GB Traffic and on Amazon are only 200 Gb available… the other 800 Gb are complete overheat… for nothing…

at this point i delete Amazon an go to GSuite…
