Thanks for the laugh. Seriously though, since the data is operationally critical, I would like to rule out corruption. If this is a non-issue, that's great which I take it is based on your feedback.

well, then, in all seriousness, there are so many things to worry before you copy a single file

  1. do not trust rclone, as its algorithms has not been validated by the NIST.
  2. if the computer RAM chips are not ECC, then do not trust it.
  3. if the hard drives are not RAID-10000000, then do not trust it.
  4. unless you have invented a new technology, all storage suffers from bit-rot.
  5. since to err is human, you have not been validated and cannot be trusted.
