Irregularities in transferred amounts between RClone and GDrive. Is Google known to be inaccurate when it comes to Drive storage amounts?

Afternoon folks,

I’ve been monitoring a backup that is currently underway and checking the log RClone is reporting 582.937 GBytes transferred in the past 20 hours, which seems perfectly fine considering my transfer speed is 8.297 MBytes/s.

The issue is GDrive is only reporting 456.9 gig transferred so far. Is Google known to be inaccurate when it comes to Drive storage amounts?

Sorry, I think I may have answered this one myself.

Is Google only showing completed download amounts, compared to RClone which includes the partially transferred amounts?

Google is reporting compete download and seem to be delayed.

There may be retries as well which will bumps up the transferred count.
