I don’t think it’s simply a matter of transfer quantity. When I was banned (it definitely was a ban), it was just from repeatedly seeking in various files using Plex or VLC. The quantity of data transferred was minimal. A billion requests seems fanciful, however. I got banned for what couldn’t possibly be anything close to that.
