Have a local synced copy?

I use rclone with debian and a google drive account. I mount google drive with rclone to a shared folder in samba. Works perfect but it is slow. Opening a 800kb zip on the share takes way to long. Is it possible to keep a complete local offline copy of the google drive that is in sync with the online version? Not only for speed.

Can I do it with mount or do I have to use rclone sync and run this in a cronjob? Haven't found any examples or I don't understand it right.
