Handling duplicate filenames (but different files)

I’m using rclone to sync a directory on my machine with the “Google Photos” directory in my Google Drive. Some app on my iPhone names every movie it makes “movie.mov”, in Google Drive I see multiples of the same filename, but different sizes, and when I look via the interface, they are all indeed different.

However, rclone skips all the copies? Is there a way to handle this? I noticed InSync makes a copy of each file appending its own suffix to differentiate between them. Can rclone do something different?

I know I could just rename them in Google Drive, but that doesn’t reflect in Google Photos, an unfortunate issue between Google Drive/Google Photos, and not really an rclone problem. Just curious if there is a way rclone can deal with it though.

Thanks!

I made rclone dedupe for fixing this!
