Doubt about rclone lsd

Hello guys

A simple question. I've noticed that some providers like box or pcloud when I run "rclone lsd box:/" or "rclone lsd pcloud:/" list al files instead only folders. Is it correct?

Best regards
Wanderlei

hello,

when you posted you should have been ask for info.

with rclone 1.52.0 I can successfully list folders on my Box account.

it would help if you shared your rclone version and made sure you typed the command correctly -- it is a single character making the difference, after all...

Hello. I'm running rclone 1.52 and the command I've already posted above: "rclone lsd box:/"

when you posted, you should have been asked for information.
can you provide that info?

you need to post a debug log or some kind of output from the rclone command.

I understand that is better provide as much information as needed, but I'm not a newbie user.

I'm telling that for this both providers I noticed that the command "rclone lsd box:/" should only list folders, but is listing files also

Can you list out the -vv for that on Box?

Can you also run:

felix@gemini:~$ rclone lsf --dirs-only GD: -vv
2020/06/05 22:45:56 DEBUG : rclone: Version "v1.52.0" starting with parameters ["rclone" "lsf" "--dirs-only" "GD:" "-vv"]

2020/06/05 22:45:57 DEBUG : 4 go routines active

I'm not sure what Box normally does as I personally don't have a Box account to test with. It does seem odd though.

I tried it on my box account and it seems to be working

Are you sure that you don't have directories called BS_vpn.txt etc? Can you double check in the box webui? It is an easy mistake to make with rclone when just copying a single file if you do rclone copy file.txt box:file.txt you'll actually copy the file to box:file.txt/file.txt - I make this mistake a lot as you can see in my directory listings above! What you really wanted was copyto in that case.

Thanks Nick!
I have a script that sync my main dropbox accout with secondary acccounts (box, pcloud, etc)

I don't know why, but there are a lot of folders in the root folder with the filename name.
I will review why this happened!
Sorry for this mistake that I didn't realize..

No worries. As you can see from my own dropbox account it is an easy mistake to make!

Maybe rclone should be a bit cleverer here - that is hard to do without breaking backwards compatibility though.
