Also, as for your slow speeds, try the latest beta once. There was a bug, which was fixed recently, which caused server-side copies to hang and eventually fail which could explain the drop in speeds.

Yep, they should.
According to the logs, its throwing the 500 error which is what was fixed.
So in particular this issue:
Which looks to still not be quite fixed yet as there is a comment on it not quite working yet.

It should actually be fixed. I have had multiple folks test it across various systems and types of files and they all copied without any hiccups.
