A simple question: is rclone sync working in continuous way ?
I mean, I launched it with rclone -v --log-file=/var/log/rclone.log sync homedir crypt: and it is not stopping … apparently keeping an eye on anything that gets modified.
For me it’s reasonable, but I wanted to be sure that this is the expected behavior - so that instead of putting it in the crontab to be executed periodically, I will place it as a service to be started at boot…
when i used this, it stopped when destination and source were the same. i don’t think you could run this as an service.
I believe there is an enhancement filed for this.
