Connection crash while syncing to Google Drive

Hi all,

I’m experiencing this weird issue. Anytime I try to sync my local drive (~40 GB) to Drive, it goes well for about 30-60 minutes, then abruptly the connection crashes (ping fails). The strangest thing is that this not only affects my computer, but all of the devices connected to the router.
Btw this doesn’t seem to be a router’s crash, since when I reboot a device, it goes back to normal. Absolutely no need to reboot the router itself or change anything in its state.

Is the router applying some sort of “ban” to all connected devices due to aggressive use of bandwidth?

Thanks

Judging by previous conversations I’ve had like this on the forum, it is a problem with your router.

Some routers just seem to blow up when you transfer lots of data through them!

I’d try upgrading the firmware first.

Strange! It might be that doing DHCP causes the router to clear the connection table or something like that.
