Chaning directory case makes rclone lose it

jeepers with this tool again!

i just did a test, and the file names are about 1/3 or so of the original one. quite something. just to make sure i'm doing it right, is it supposed to look like a bunch of chinese characters? also, are there security implications with this shorter encoding type?

Yes, that is correct

No, it should be as secure as the base64 encoding.

looks good. makes me feel like a real intelligence agent, filing state secrets.

one more question and then i'll stop. i can't help it!

why can't i feed the encrypted file names through a base32 decoder (with the settings still at the base32 default) online and arrive at the actual file name? encoding is not encryption, right?

The file names are encrypted first which creates a binary blob, then the binary blob is made into printable characters with base32.

So yes, they are encrypted as well as encoded.

awesome. love it.
