Chance of corruption with transfer

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

Concerns of corruption during transfer.

Run the command 'rclone version' and share the full output of the command.

rclone v1.64.0.

Which cloud storage system are you using? (eg Google Drive)

Local NAS.

The command you were trying to run (eg rclone copy /tmp remote:tmp)

rclone sync e: nas: --bwlimit 100m -P --exclude="/System Volume Information/" --delete-after

The question

By default, rclone doesn't utilize error checking or correction. What is the likelihood of corruption having occurred over LAN for 10TB?

I'm not keen on transferring everything again, and as far as I know error checking would slow down rclone even further than currently.

welcome to the forum,

that is not correct. it depends on the storage system and how you connect to it.

can you post the output of rclone config redacted nas:

copy a single file, smaller the better and post a full debug log.

rclone config redacted nas:
[nas]
Enter configuration password:
password:
type = crypt
remote = nasbackup:
password = XXX
password2 = XXX

The full debug log contains thousands of file names.

i see from the config posted, that nas: is a crypt remote
the rclone docs note that hashes are not used and suggests cryptcheck
what is the concern about that approach?
