Bypass VPN on windows?

let us know what nordvpn has to say

They told me that it is not possible. I searched more online and basically the reason I wanted to do do this was so that when I use vpn for torrenting I did not want it to slow down my rclone drive. So I found guides online that us to only send the torrent client through the vpn tunnel and rest of system free of vpn using openvpn ( Windows Guide: Enabling your vPN for a single program while letting everything else use your normal connection. : VPNTorrents)

at first when you posted you wanted a way to get rclone to bypass the vpn.
now it seems that you are looking for a more complex solution.
here is what i do, perhaps it will spark some ideas for you.

i use a seedbox to get my torrents and stream them.

the seedbox has

  • vpn
  • sshd server
  • runs rclone, plex, emby and dozens of apps

in this way, i do not use my local computer.

How much does that seedbox cost you monthly?

I mainly just want to have my rclone drive mounted through my local network and not through the vpn so that I can stream at full speeds and have my torrent client run through the vpn. Regarding the rest of the internet traffic I do not care that much about it as for normal browsing vpn slow down is not that big.
Now to bypass vpn on rclone the bind command does not work for me as we tried earlier and nordvpn said they cannot help with that and instead told me to use openvpn.

the seedbox is $11.00 per month, the cheapest plan.

i always stream thru the seedbox openvpn server.
in fact, i run a strange setup.

on the seedbox

  • i download the torrents.
  • i have a local rclone crypt that i move the download torrents into.
  • i rclone serve that local rclone crypt as a sftp server, rclone serve sftp lcrypt01:

then on my local home server.

  • i connect to the seedbox via openvpn.
  • i run a second copy of rclone, the connects to that sftp server running on the seedbox
    rclone mount seedboxsftp s:
  • i run emby media server pointing to the s:
