The fix I've just merged should fix that for windows - please try the latest beta when it is uploaded v1.51.0-090-ga492c0fb-beta
Just tried it. Yup this beta works without any extra flags!
Just rclone copy -P X:source Y:dest
It downloads instantly! whereas the stable rclone makes it wait until the file pre-allocate before starting.
