Allows remotes to use the dot character in the name

hello,

is a reason to disallow a dot character in the name of a remote?

Can't use "aws01.glacier.veeam.vbar.br07" as config name contains invalid characters - may only contain 0-9, A-Z ,a-z ,_ , - and space.

thanks,

I can't remember... It certainly would be useful at times.

Anyone else think of a reason?

It makes it marginally more likely for a file with : in to be confused with a remote, since most files have a .ext
