Adding to encrypted config via script

#1

Sometimes I want to mass add things to the config (I have a script, that mass appends lines to the config).
When setting a password to the configuration, I am unable to do that.
How would you append to an encrypted config file?

#2

possible solution to use it with rclone config create, tough would need to pass the password/key with it somehow. Adding a flag would be a way to do it, --password is plain text, but --print-passkey and --passkey (see: https://github.com/ncw/rclone/issues/2442 ) could do it.

#3

You can pass the config password in in an environment variable RCLONE_CONFIG_PASS.

Note that you can make obscured passwords with rclone obscure

So will this work like this

export RCLONE_CONFIG_PASS=LM-Ghk8F638Rg

Thanks

Yes, assuming that is the password for the rclone.conf file.
