A Question regarding, memory remotes in RAM backends

What is the problem you are having with rclone?

Hi again, so soon after my first post, apologies. I was wondering how stable it would be to use a memory RAM backend remote as a cache and temporary files remote in which to point the windows temporary files directory and other programs temp and cache directories to use, with an intention of reducing drive write and reads?

hi,
the memory backend is to be used as a remote, not to emulate local storage.

can use a ramdisk and point the files to that.
i recommend the free, opensource imdisk-toolkit
i have used it for many years.

it will create a ntfs drive,
enable file compression,
use sparse file.
can survive system shutdown and reboots.

Hi there thank you so much I'll check it out : )
